WHY SLIM? 

SLIM is extremely versatile and capable, being able to take a payload of 12.5Kg yet it is light weight and portable, weighing in at just 32KG plus the base. It also runs on 10A house power and is up and running in around 15mins out of the box. We also have a battery solution that will power itself and a camera, FIZ gears, terradek and monitor for around 7hours (extra battery = another 7hrs) on one charge. So you can run it it the middle of a paddock or anywhere power is an issue.  SLIM comes mounted to a custom made dolly base however, with its Mitchell mount it can be adapted to mount on a vast range of dollies and bases as well as rooftop mounts for cars. It can even be mounted upside down for 360 degree shots.

WHO ARE WE?

Clockwork soldier is owned by 2 experienced  Director/DOPs working in the Sydney Ad scene. We developed this offering based on our own experience using the machine on our own shoots and seeing how it has expanded both our creative capabilities as well as boosting productivity on set; being able to create and program complex camera movements quickly and then have them play out repeatedly allowing us to concentrate on what is happening in front of camera without having to worry that a difficult camera move or focus pull is nailed every time. 

Clockwork soldier has direct and collaborative communication with the D2 software developers and support team. Consequently the software is bespoke and tailor-made for the film industry, offering a short cut to some stunning camera work as well as being a constantly evolving system that continues to add capability day by day, shoot by shoot.
